Veterinary Cancer Specialits (VCS) is the oncology department
for VRCC.
About Us
Veterinary Cancer Specialists (VCS) began treating patients
in 1993 with one guiding principle: Quality of Life. VCS
was founded by the first Veterinary Oncologist in the Denver area,
Dr. Robyn Elmslie. VCS is the oncology department of
the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado (VRCC),
one of the most advanced and largest veterinary diagnostic and
treatment centers in Colorado.
VCS is a progressive veterinary cancer center that provides
comprehensive cancer diagnostic and treatment options for the
veterinary cancer patient. Dr. Elmslie is a board certified
Veterinary Oncologist. This expertise along with her training
in basic immunology research at the National Jewish Center in
Denver has provided opportunities for patients to participate
in ground breaking clinical trials since the inception of VCS in
1993. Dr. Elmslie was honored in 2006 by the American
Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) when she was awarded Research
Practitioner of the Year. She has also been named as one
of Denver's Top Veterinarians by 5280 magazine.
Veterinary Cancer Specialists and VRCC are certified by the
American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and is Colorado's
only private practice veterinary care facility providing personal
care and attention for your pet while offering on-site radiation,
surgery, chemotherapy, ultrasound and laboratory analysis.
