Vet Referrals

The family veterinarian cares for pets with every imaginable health issue.  As an extended service to pet owners and their beloved pets, a family veterinarian may see the need to refer a patient to a specialist for additional diagnostic tests and treatment. Our oncology department at VRCC, Veterinary Cancer Specialists, provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for patients diagnosed with or suspected of having cancer.  In some cases, the patient may be referred for management of multiple health issues.  As part of VRCC, the largest private practice hospital in Colorado, our oncology staff interacts regularly with specialists of other disciplines so that patients with multiple problems, receive the comprehensive care they need.

We strive to be a partner with your family veterinarian and are here to assist him or her in providing optimal and compassionate medicine to your most precious family friend. We are committed to thorough communication with your veterinarian. Downloading these forms and filling them out correctly will ensure more timely treatment of your pet. We encourage you to bring a printed copy of your referral form on the day of your visit.
